My Career Aspirations:
I am applying for employment to gain more insight, knowledge and experience in my chosen career field, Food Technology. I understand that team-work is vitally important and I believe that I am able to establish good relationships with my fellow workers. I am able to adapt to change in my environment and I am a team player. I enjoy learning new approaches and doing short courses to help broaden my knowledge.
My strong problem-solving skills enable me to analyze the situation and identify areas of improvement. I have excellent time management skills by using my time both effectively and efficiently. I am able to work the extra effort to complete my responsibilities and I work well under pressure.
I am a dynamic, results orientated, honest, trustworthy individual who performs to the highest standards while working independently and with team members. I will work smart and do my best to accomplish the company goals and objectives. I also aim to ensure that I exceed my employer expectations.
I possess entrepreneurial and interpersonal skills. I was involved in entrepreneurial projects, leadership programs; the funds raised; food hampers collected where donated to underprivileged schools and old age homes. I am honored to be part of these projects; as it has provided me with the ability to develop my leadership skills and I was able to give back to my community.
Whilst studying for my diploma in Food Technology, I have gained theory, excellent laboratory skills and techniques. I have the ability to work accurately, analytically and precisely. I am currently completing a Bachelor of Technology in Food Technology. The project that I am assigned to is investigating the antioxidant activity and enzyme inhibitory potential of Brachylaena uniflora leaves and buds. This project will determine the ability of Brachylaena uniflora to be used as a potential agent in the treatment of diabetes mellitus.

I completed my in-service training at Tiger Brands Ltd. Mallows and Jellies Unit from 23 January 2017 to 31 January 2018.

v Ensured that the cooking and process parameters are within the standard.

v Conducted analysis of quality or process-related difficulties and implemented required corrective action.

v Environmental monitoring on CIP final rinse water, air analysis and effluent water.
